About Nicola

Nicola Brough
I currently run a practice from home three days per week working with a diverse client base. I am a member of two local Peer Groups which provides an invaluable exchange of CST & Reiki sessions, information and ongoing support. I undertake ongoing Cranio-Sacral Therapy sessions for myself and undergo regular supervision for my work.

I understand the importance of ongoing personal development and I have committed to and am involved in ongoing training of these and related therapies. I am fully insured and a Registered Member of the Cranio-sacral Therapy Association of the UK.

I am currently undertaking an MSc by Research at Warwick Medical School exploring clients' experience of Cranio-Sacral Therapy, with the intention of highlighting its use within the NHS and other healthcare settings.

Post Graduate CST Courses
Sacred Space/Dynamic Stillness with Franklyn Sills M.A. RCST.
The Living Matrix and Trauma Energetics with Dr James Oschman. Ph.D.

Qualifications
Cranio-sacral Biodynamics, Karuna Institute, Devon, from 2004 - 2006

Other Training & Experience
Teaching Assistant - Pacific School of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy: Biodynamic Craniosacral Foundation Training, The Netherlands, from Nov. 2007 - Dec. 2008

During the earlier part of my training within the field of complementary therapy I obtained a wide skill base of body orientated therapies whilst studying at the Southern School of Natural Therapies, Melbourne, Australia. Also whilst living in Australia I was introduced to the Usui Method of Reiki and I am now a Reiki Master/Teacher.

Psychodramatic Bodywork (Introduction, Intermediate & Advanced Training) from May 2008 - Feb. 2011

I am currently training with Susan Aaron - This training combines two forms of psychotherapy: Psychodrama and Bodywork. Psychodrama uses dramatic action methods to free and integrate spontaneity blocked by earlier trauma. Bodywork uses Safe Touch to help individuals connect with the messages that are held in the body as pain, numbness and/or illness. A spiritual component that deepens the effectiveness of the work is incorporated into the training.
